We all sense that life should mean something.
If you have ever asked these questions, you are not alone. Throughout history,
people have searched for answers through religions and philosophies of every kind.
Maybe you have stopped looking for answers and simply live with the sense
that something is missing.
You were created to live in an eternal relationship with God.
You were created for a relationship with God.
The Bible teaches that your life has meaning, value, and purpose because
you were created by God in His image.
God designed you to live forever in a loving relationship with Him.
This is the life you were made for.
“So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him;
male and female He created them. Then God blessed them.”
Sin broke our relationship with God.
If we were created for a relationship with God, why does He seem distant,
and why will we die? The Bible says that humanity lives in opposition to God.
This opposition is called sin.
We have all “sinned and fallen short of the glory of God.”
We choose our own way instead of His.
Sin’s damage reaches every part of life. It breaks our relationship with God,
damages our relationships with others, and ultimately brings death and
eternal separation from Him.
“For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life
through Jesus Christ our Lord.”
God did not leave us separated from Him.
Even though we have sinned, God still loves us. He demonstrated His love
in the most extraordinary way imaginable: He stepped down from heaven
and became a man—Jesus Christ.
Multiple eyewitness accounts of Jesus’ life show that He was unlike
any person who ever lived. He was truly God and truly man.
“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son,
that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.”
Jesus’ death and resurrection prove that He has power to give us
eternal life and restore our relationship with God.
Will you turn to Jesus?
There is only one way to be restored to a right relationship with God,
and that is through personal faith in Jesus Christ. The Bible calls this
being “saved” or “born again.”
You cannot be good enough or do enough religious deeds to earn your way
to God. You must personally reach out to Jesus in faith.
Jesus said, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father
except through Me.”
You can pray to God in faith.
When you place your faith in Jesus, you enter into the personal
relationship with God that you were created for.
I believe that Jesus died and rose again for me.
Right now, I place my faith in Jesus alone.
Please forgive me, and please give me the life I was made for. Amen.
